Thursday was mostly calm, clear and hot. Activity slowed in the afternoon with heat indexes approaching 100 degrees. Friday was mostly clear with afternoon cloud building. Winds were pleasant and variable providing some relief from yesterday’s heat. Saturday’s forecast was for thunderstorms from morning through early afternoon so I didn’t make the trip that day. I understand some fliers were aloft by late morning.
